We had goats.

Our two retired goats went to keep a mini horse company elsewhere.  Their story and that story, here.

Mutt Chicken Eggs

Ra

Raccoons struck again!  No eggs.

We had freerange chickens repeatedly until the raccoons, hawks, bald eagles, buzzards, minks, and who knows what else just kept eating them, on my nickel. Until we get that permanently fixed up... no eggs available.                                                             |

<--Betsy's Brood-

Betsy, our doesn't-wanna-be-a-milk-cow, is now living elsewhere, along with her buddies.  We traded them for horses and 2 alpacas.. That story and her story, is here.

The name:  "Honey, do you want some beggs n achin for breakfast?"

        "Huh...?  Uh... sure."

And that's how the name stuck, an

                         early morning, oh my God

where's the coffee, it's too early...

                                     happy accident.

Abby and her bud Panzer-

She came to me free in 2022 as a senior horse rescue and was my very first horse.  Shortly after that, I got her  a Belgian draft cross friend, Panzer. We learned a lot and did a lot of trails and training, since Abby was a nutcase (grin).   Read about their journey here and watch videos and footage of our journeys together.    Abby is retired from riding now in 2025, but we have a new friend to begin new adventures with.

The above proceeds go to feed these things:

Persnickity Pastured Pigs

This pic right here is what we started with, 12 years ago.  We've evolved a bit since then to a bigger pig with the "pasture" qualities.

Most of the year we have litters of weaner pigs available on an ongoing basis. We are working toward having pastured pork as well. If you have ever tried home raised, grass fed pork, you are in for a treat! Robust flavor that is completely unlike the store bought variety.

I do LIVE streaming and teaching videos of primitive/homestead     skills wool spinning, basket weaving, DIY , guitar and piano playing and singing, helmet cam POV horse videos, and live videos with the animals or a good trail ride or walk on a sunny day.

Willow-

****Willow's having a baby!  (Unexpected). ***In 2025 I got a replacement riding horse.  She is an untouched 9-10 year old Colville Rezervation Mustang mare.  She has foaled once, before I bought her for $900.  I'm documenting her training process in video. She's a sweetheart and she really wants to try.

Crafty Corner/ Primitive Skills

This page is solely dedicated to teaching videos seperate from the stuff for sale, above.  Some of it, I work on in these videos, some for personal use.  I do wool spinning, basket weaving from foraged materials, Sewing, simple quilts, crochet, knitting, knitting machine... Come upstairs on camera to my "pleasure room" (my craft room) and play with all my fun stuff, here.

<--Alpacas and "bonus sheep"-

I traded 6 piglets for a mother and daughter alpaca. Then someone abandoned two little black sheep right in front of my house and after 2 years, they just live here now. I spin their wool and take care of them.

No longer a thing, but we loved them, so enjoy:

Wintertime, things slow down.  I retreat to my nice, warm craft room and make mixed media art pieces, and make things out of the animals' fur, like a wierdo.  Sometimes I actually sell some of them to help feed the free-loading little twerps.

How it all started: Welp, 2010 we got married and hubs had an acre, in which I crammed WAY too many animals onto.  He let me try all the Joel Salatin farming, crazy cob on the walls things I had been dreaming about whilst trapped in the confines of single mom-hood in an apartment around WAY too many humans.  In 2018, we moved to Lewis County to a bit bigger acreage, and I added cows and big pigs to the mix.  Covid changed everything, as well as we learned a lot and had diet changes.  We started out wanting to sell farm products and be all organic and such.  We still stick to that, but we just take care of ourselves now.  As mentioned, I only have a few animals to maintain the brush, and I plant for us only.  It's a bummer, but we're both a little bit happier this way.
